PICHA POA is Sheng, which is a mixture of Swahili and English. Sheng is spoken by the underprivileged people. It means „good pictures“ or „cool pictures“. The slang word „poa“ is used as a greeting or in a way of being satisfied with something. PICHA POA photography workshops should give underprivileged kids the chance to learn new  skills about photography. In their pictures they can show their own world. They can tell stories through them and allow the viewer to enter their home, their environment, their world. 

PICHA POA wants to give the underprivileged kids and youths the feeling of being privileged in life.
